Who am I?

Constantinos Nearchou

I am a healthcare and public health professional with a Bachelor's degree in Radiodiagnostic & Radiotherapy and a Master's degree in Public Health. My professional experience spans clinical healthcare and medical technology, alongside a broader interest in population health.

My interests include health systems, prevention, environmental health, digital health, health communication, and the wider factors that shape health. I created Health in Blog to explore these topics and make public health evidence, ideas, and current issues more accessible.

Why this exists

Why Health in Blog exists

I created Health in Blog because public health affects almost every part of our lives, yet the evidence, policies, and wider factors behind health issues are not always easy to understand or discuss. My aim is to explore these topics in a clear and thoughtful way, keeping sourced evidence distinct from personal interpretation in the writing itself.

Areas of interest

Public Health & Population Health
Prevention, Health Promotion & Wellbeing
Health Systems, Policy & Health Equity
Environment, Climate & Health
Digital Health & Health Technology
Health Communication, Media & Misinformation

My perspective

I see health as something shaped by much more than individual choices or healthcare alone. Policy, environment, socioeconomic conditions, technology, communication, and access to care all influence the health of individuals and populations.

Through Health in Blog, I want to look at health from this broader perspective — connecting evidence with the real-world systems and circumstances that shape it.

How I write

Health in Blog organises writing by topic only — not by a separate content-type system — and distinguishes evidence from personal interpretation in the prose itself, without a separate opinion label. Sources, uncertainty, and corrections are handled according to the Editorial Policy.
